2022.01.26 17:59 roomtotheater Did ATT raise new customer prices?
I'm in Dallas. When I signed up for fiber in early December prices were $35-300 $45-500 $55-1000 + equipment fees, etc. That's what I saw throughout 2021.
I had signed up for Fiber 1000, but I am cheap and wanted to downgrade to 300. I now see that Fiber 300 is $55 with a $5 discount down from $60. I tried private browsers and off the WiFi. Is this ATT playing tricks on me or is their lowest price in Dallas really $55/mo now?

2022.01.26 17:59 Rebel_Spyder The Truth in our Existence (my take): Everything is pointless if you come with the intent to find answers.
I know I am new to this sub reddit, and I know definitely I am not the first, nor an I equipped with proper knowledge. That being said, I felt I had a general realization about existence in general. The questions we have that usually lead with "Why ....?" are pointless. Because the answer to the question has no point. Questioning something does absolutely nothing, when you come with the intent of understanding something beyond the question.
I'll give an example: "Why does math work the way it does?"
This question is definitely a stepping stone for something deeper, like something along the lies of "Why is math never wrong?". (Pardon me if I do not make sense.)
Eventually that question will lead to many other questions, which will eventually lead to the idea that the universe is infinitely big, and you are infinitesimally useless. This is how people usually approach questions
If a person approaches a question for the "heck of it". No deeper meaning, no deeper thoughts, no hidden agenda, then they will find more meaningful information. They will not seek answers beyond the answer they were given. They will try to understand the answer they were given, and move on. This may seem like ignorance to some. This type of approach only happens when you know the end goal is useless. If you know the end goal, you know that you are infinitely small. This creates a paradox
There is a third kind, which genuinely doesn't care about asking questions. They go along as they please. Although society looks down upon these people, they usually lead the best lives
Summation: If you look at a question's answer as a key to another question, the end will leave you in disappointment. If you choose the ignorant route, you will be looked upon as a disappointment. I feel the fight for knowledge ultimately gets you on one path: The feeling that nothing matters (be that because you were bullied for being ignorant, or that you have realized that you are useless in the grand scheme of things).
This being said, I doubt I will stop looking for answers, because without that, our existence is meaningless. Everywhere you go, there is a paradox, with more questions, less answers, and a sense of nihilism surrounding you.

2022.01.26 17:59 ensluck EXCLUSIVE 👀 Johnny Depp's NFT Collection is on It's Way to Rarible!
Processing img x03jknk2j3e81...
Johnny Depp's NFT collection is on its way to Rarible “I’ve always used art to express my feelings and to reflect on those who matter most to me, like my family, friends, and people I admire. My paintings surround my life, but I kept them to myself and limited myself. No one should ever limit themselves” – Johnny Depp
That’s right: Johnny Depp is launching an NFT collection in collaboration with Rarible. His first collection called “Never Fear Truth” consists of 11,111 NFTs. The art shows Johnny’s personal friends and heroes in his unique freehand style—the way they revealed themselves to Johnny Depp in his own eyes. But a Never Fear Truth NFT isn’t just a Johnny Depp art piece: It also gives holders access to a Discord community Johnny has created for his supporters. Here’s what Johnny said about it: “I hope we can create a new community of friends around these NFTs. My involvement in the NFT space has just begun.” We’re excited to support the launch of Never Fear Truth. The drop date is TBA, so stay tuned.
Preview the collection

2022.01.26 17:59 Small_Wait Weird cool OOTP coincidence
I work as an intern for a summer college baseball team. I started a few weeks ago and this week I opened up my Google drive and started sifting through the old interns stuff to see if anything would be useful. I saw a intro video for a player that I had never seen but the name sounded so familiar. About 20 minutes later I figured out I drafted that player in ootp. I had no idea that it had real college players in the drafts after the 21 draft.

2022.01.26 17:59 Willbraken Critique my planned build.
I'm slightly out of the loop with all of the current gen stuff, last time I built a PC was about 8 years ago. With a little bit of research I have put together this build. Please critique and let me know if there's anything I should change.
One question I do have is should I go for a higher wattage power supply?
I'll probably add more storage in the future as well.
Main use will be gaming of course (& I want to finally be able to experience everything on HIGH graphics with an actual good frame rate for once) and also a bit of CAD / 3D printing stuff. I would have gone with 16 GB of RAM but I would like to be able to play Microsoft Flight Simulator and I've heard it can eat up a lot of RAM.
